This transition is accomplished by gradually decreasing the level of care while introducing the individual to increasing levels of responsibility and self-sufficiency. We provide the time and place for vulnerable, fragile, newly recovering individuals to restore their internal world of self-identity, self-worth, sense of competency, and boundaries, while also gaining responsibility for their external world and personal affairs, e.g. family, career, finances, housing, etc. The therapeutic milieu guides each patient through a thorough process of personal introspection and social exploration.
